Makers Making Good Things Happen

The food and beverage maker community has stepped up to help out healthcare workers, essential workers and many others in need.

Makers Making Good Things Happen

One of the beautiful silver linings in this terrible, horrible, very bad, no good time is how the food and beverage maker community has stepped up to help out healthcare workers, essential workers and many others in need. Brands with strong ethical and sustainable foundations have long stood out from other products on the shelves, but as the economic effects of Covid-19 carry on, helping others will continue to be important in the months to come. Here are a few makers we know of that are doing their part to contribute.

Are you doing something extra to give back to your community? We'd love to hear about it! Send us an email at Makers@Foodboro.com.

Little Red Kitchen Bakeshop

Through #FoundersGive, Little Red Kitchen Bakeshop, is donating its homemade cookies to hospital workers across New York City as a thank you for all their service during the COVID-19 crisis. For every dozen cookies that are purchased, Susan at Little Red Bakeshop will match the order.

Northerly

As part of Northerly's For the Grainer Good program, the rolled oats company has continued to make donations of their shelf-stabled oats to food banks throughout the Scottsdale, Arizona area. These oats can last up to two years in their original packaging.

Patter Bar

This clean energy bar company, one of Foodboro's emerging makers in Denver, has partnered up with a local coffee company to sell their products for donation to health care workers.

Minna

The sparkling tea company is offering consumers 20 percent off while at the same time donating 20 percent to organizations providing Covid-19 relief. Read more about Minna's maker, Ryan Fortwendel, right here!

CompletEats

The San Francisco-based superfood cookie company has donated 800 mini cookies to a local area food bank, which ultimately went to children who normally get free or reduced lunches at school.

TeaSquares

TeaSquares, along with 9 other brands, are selling their products in the "Stay Home Stay Healthy" snack box, available through Good Food Brands. All of the profits will be donated to healthcare workers on the front lines of COVID-19.

Gruvi

This alcohol-free company, another one of Foodboro's Denver All-Stars, is donating 10 percent of its profits to the Restaurant Workers Community Foundation.
