Supporting queer founders is so much more than rainbow-washed marketing, which is why we are sharing their stories (and products!) this Pride Month and all year long.
Rather than changing our logo, creating a hollow marketing campaign or supporting other forms of Rainbow Capitalism, we are choosing to shine the spotlight on food & beverage founders within the LGBTQ+ community, putting their faces, stories and products front and center.

Mmmly is an extension of founder Nick Naclerio’s mission to share healthier nutrition with all. The company offers healthy but delicious cookies made with functional ingredients that work for you, not against you. Have your cookies and eat ‘em, too.
The budding star founded TBH in 2021 with the mission of bringing a healthier alternative to a childhood staple. Noah publicly came out on Tiktok earlier this year, and honestly? We love that for him.
By combining science-backed nutrition and satisfaction in mind, Blake Godlove and his team created The After Bar — the first muscle recovery protein bar powered by plant-based proteins, citrus-derived CBD, and nutrient-rich superfoods. This LA-based company is the first under the Etera Foods umbrella.
After years of struggling with health concerns and undiagnosed auto-immune disorders, Lisa & Kristin wanted to be a part of the solution to creating healthier foods. Their organic, plant-based and full-flavor dressings are a vehicle for this mission, allowing consumers freedom over their health and body.
Lee Zalben is the original Mr. Peanut Butter. In 1998 Lee opened the Peanut Butter & Co. sandwich shop in New York City, later expanding into retail in 2003. To date his smooth and chunky spreads are sold at supermarkets and natural food stores throughout the nation.
Juniper Farms’ tagline is "Self Care for Food Lovers” - and their line of superfood blends and teas are the perfect representation of this. Founder Sarah Acconcia brings her culinary experience to life through her apothecarial creations.
Named after his two children, Mike and Jen, Dean partnered with his best friend and former co-worker to createe a chemical-free cocoa powder with just five simple ingredients: whole-milk powder, pure cane sugar, confectioner’s sugar, cocoa powder and sea salt.
With a collective experience in coffee, the trio behind Ghost Town Oats (the first black and queer-owned oat milk brand) is paving a new path in the industry, an bringing attention to the separation of “healthy” and “inclusive” with their lactose-free creamer alternative… and baristas everywhere are raving.

Peace Coffee is Proudly Queer Owned. With Non-Profit roots, the company settled in Minneapolis in 2002. Lee is the Owner and CEO, handling the day-to-day operations of Peace Coffee with her cattle dog, Ruby, by her side.
Gay Water was founded with the goal of bringing “gay” into discussion beyond Pride Month. And we love that. You may know Spencer from one of his many viral Tiktok moments.
