PopShop Live: Exploring Digital Farmer's Markets

Live-stream shopping, as we've told you before is growing rapidly, after becoming a lifeline for many brick and mortar companies during the pandemic. It's also a mode of shopping that has hooked younger generations who are accustomed to seeing things online before spotting them in the real world.

Now PopShop Live is opening their platform up to food brands through a digital Farmers Market held every other Saturday from 10am to noon PT.

Jack gave us a run-down of what PopShop Live is, how it works and how food and beverage makers can utilize this live-stream medium to make sales.

A few things to know about PopShop Live:

*Invitation Only. But Foodboro members have an opportunity to "cut the line" and get started right away.

*Mobile App Only. Right now, you use PopShop Live on your phone much like you would do a live session on Instagram. But don't fret, the app is super easy to use on the inside. Probably even easier than any other desktop site.

*Selling Products. Obvioiusly, the goal is to sell your product during the time that you are live, but PopShop Live has an option to sell your products even if you aren't currently live.

*Go Live Anytime. You don't have to go live as part of the digital Farmers Market. You can go live anytime you want for how long as you want. PopShop Live does take a small commission of each sale but other than that, you are free to use the platform however you want.
